I am DeLano Hornbuckle and I am running for Westland City Council because I believe in building a safer, stronger, and more vibrant community for all of us. I am a father to three wonderful children and a husband to an incredible wife and Westland is proudly where my family and I call home. My dedication to this city is not new. Over the past decade I have proudly served on the Westland Library Board, Planning Commission and now on your City Council for the past three years.

DeLano Hornbuckle is a true Westlander who has been dedicated to serving his community for the past 10 years. As a resident for 16 years, he has made it his mission to ensure that Westland residents have a voice and representation that they can rely on.

 

Having been appointed to the Westland Library Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Municipal Service Bureau, and Planning Commission, DeLano has proven himself as a capable leader with a true passion for making a positive impact in Westland. He is now honored to hold the role of Westland City Council, a position he has longed to achieve and is excited to continue to serve the Westland community.

Serving you on City Council for the past three years he has made the safety and wellbeing of you and your family a top priority by supporting increases in staffing for both our Westland Police and Fire departments. He has worked hard to expand parks and recreation services, investing millions of your hard-earned tax dollars back into our parks and in recreational programs for residents of all ages to enjoy.

DeLano understands the vital importance of solving a challenge before it becomes a problem by improving road, water and sewer infrastructure in neighborhoods all across our city.

As your City Councilman, he has been committed to taking action and supporting ideas that improve your quality of life and enhance the vital city services we all depend on. He will continue to work hard to ensure Westland is a safe, strong and vibrant community for your family.
